The  power of positive attitude leads your road map to success . There are mainly three reasons – first because your attitude affects how you look , what you say and what you do .

Your attitudes stems from within . If you think you can change it from negative to positive , you have taken the first step to do so . You have the capacity to control your thoughts . The world makes way only for people who are determined , for people who laugh at barriers which limit others , at stumbling blocks over which other fall .

Building a positive attitudes begins with having confidence in yourself . Confidence reinforces ability , doubles energy , buttresses mental faculities , and increase power . Your thoughts will prompt the force of your conviction , the weight of your decision , and the power of your confidence .

The constant affirmation of your ability to succeed , and your determination to do so , will carry you past difficulties , defy obstacles , laugh at misfortunes , and strenghten your power to achieve .

Constant affirmation increases courage , and courage is the backbone of confidence . if we analyze great achievement and the people who accomplished them , the most prominent quality is a positive attitude .  people with absolute faith that they will do what they undertake are the most likely to succeed , even when such an attitude seems to outsideres audacious , if not foolhardy .

Asses your Attitude towards Yourself

If you are physically well , the quality of your life will depend mostly on your attitude . It’s important , therefore , to consider that attitude reflects both inwardly on yourself and outwardly to other people .

Ask yourself these questions to determine if you usually take a positive attitude towards yourself .

Answer Yes / No / Undecided

  1. Are you a learner or rejecter ?
  2. Do you do your best on the job ?
  3. Do you demonstrate enthusiasm in most of what you say and do ? what does the record say about that ? what will your friend tell you ?
  4. Are you willing to grow ? Do you think it’s your responsibility to prepare yourself for advancement , or wait for someone else to tell you what to do ?
  5. Do you welcome changes ? Are you the kind of person who experiments , who tries things , who is generally open to suggestions ?
  6. And last , but certainly not least , do you cultivate  a sense of humor ? Do you take yourself more seriously than anyone else ? Do you get some joy out of what you’re doing at work ? Is it fun for you ?

Evaluate Your Attitude Toward Other People

Are you taking a consistently posititve attitude toward other people ? Here are some ways you can check this out 

Are you sincerely interested ? Do you talk about their needs and their problems ? Sincerity can’t be faked .

Do you look at other’s point of view ? How they feel , why they feel that way , why they think and act as they do ?

Are you  able to cooperate to achieve common goals ?

Change the way you feel about Yourself

You can change the way you feel about yourself  . These suggestions will help you to change the way you feel about yourself 

  1. List your personal liabilities , past mistake , failures and embarrasments . Burn it , watch it turned to ashes and say aloud “ that is the last time I will let you get me down . I have more important things to do .” your actions always reinforces your dominent thoughts . Learn from those past blooperes and get rid of them . Get off your own back . There are enough monkeys in this world waiting to jump on it for you .
  2. List your personal assets  , compentencies and achievements  A realistic resume is a good start .Read it aloud three times a day for three weeks . If you have ever felt valuable , worthy or good in the past , you can feel that way once again . Your spent many years others to programming you , Now its up to you .
  3. Read or listen to something motivational or inspirational every day .  Positive imagery require positive examples you also need people’s experience . Their research techniques and results can cut years off your learning curve and save you from painful trial and error .
  4. Write specific goals . This trigger your inborn , automatic goal seeking mechanism . Even while you sleep , your subconscious will help you overcome roadblocks , obstacles , and defeats . as you achieve your goals , the writen proof support you as a worthy , achieving person  and plants good self image seeds.
  5. Take responsibilities for your emotional environment . It’s hard to soar like and eagle when you are surrounded by a bunch of turkeys . The law of emotional gravity is  strong , you become like those with whom you associate .
These beginning self image building steps may seem simplistic , but they are based on sound research and results . They are the foundation for a strong positive attitude .
